In view of precautions to be taken for prevention of Covid-19, care was taken to ensure maintaining of social distancing and wearing of the mask while conducting this awareness. Over SWR, there are no unmanned LCs that were eliminated in 2019 and all the level crossings are manned gates. Safety at LCs is one of the focus areas of Indian Railways and all efforts are being taken to eliminate LCs by constructing ROBs/RUBs where train vehicle units (TVUs) are more than 1 lakh and by constructing limited height subways for gates with lesser TVUs.
