34th Oxygen Express arrives at ICD, Whitefield

Karnataka late on June 13 received its 34th Oxygen Express operated by Indian Railways. This special train carrying liquid medical oxygen reached Inland Container Depot at Whitefield in Bengaluru at 10pm carrying 80 tonnes of LMO in four cryogenic containers. The train had started from Tatanagar, Jharkhand at 4.25pm on June 12.

So far, Karnataka has received 3,861.42 tonnes of LMO by Rail. Indian Railways has so far run 421 Oxygen Expresses and transported more than 30,000 tonnes of LMO in 1734 tankers to all over the country and brought relief to more than 30 cities and towns in 15 states in their fight against Covid19.

As of June 13, Indian Railways had delivered nearly 30182 MT of LMO to the states across the country. Oxygen Expresses delivered more than 15000 MT of LMO to the southern states of the country. Oxygen Expresses delivered more than 3600, 3700 and 4900 MT of LMO to Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu respectively.
